For 24 days, across two continents and two different time zones, Marilia Destot (in the United States) and Angelle (in France) each captured an image at the exact same moment, without prior consultation, and posted it online on a dedicated blog where the two photographs were placed side by side. By shifting one hour forward each day, they completed a full cycle around the clock. No imposed theme guided this improvised photographic correspondence in real-time, from July 1st to July 24th, 2009. The only constraint: simultaneity.
24 jours durant, sur deux continents et deux fuseaux horaires différents, Marilia Destot (aux Etats-Unis) et Angelle (en France) réalisent au même moment une image sans se concerter et la postent en ligne sur un blog dédié où elles sont mises en regard l’une de l’autre. En se décalant d’une heure chaque jour, elles vont faire le tour du cadran. Aucun thème imposé pour cette correspondance photographique improvisée en temps très réel, du 1er au 24 juillet 2009. Seule contrainte : la simultanéité.

Angelle and Marilia Destot met few years ago in Paris. Marilia Destot moved to New York since. Their photographic kinship, and then their geographic distance, gave them the idea of their first artistic collaboration : a live photo correspondence made in July 2009 and followed online by a growing audience. La même heure, quelque part ailleurs... is exhibited for the first time in 2010 at La Commanderie de Lacommande in France, and is also a self-released book for the show.
Angelle et Marilia Destot se sont rencontrées il y a quelques années à Paris. Depuis Marilia Destot s'est installée à New York. De leur complicité photographique, puis de leur éloignement géographique, est né leur premier projet artistique commun : cette correspondance photographique réalisée en juillet 2009, et suivie en direct par un public chaque jour plus nombreux. La même heure, quelque part ailleurs... est exposée en 2010 à La Commanderie de Lacommande en France, et devient un livre photographique auto-édité à cette occasion.
